clock it to the rear differential flange to get the smoothest operation. This will require bolt up and drive (if ok done) otherwise try next bolt hole arrangement till best butt/ear results operation. Also there is the correct side to side alignment of the DS center main bearing and the correct placement of the center main bearing shims for correct up position of the center main bearing. When you remove the old DS note where the 2 washer looking pieces are located where the center main bearing flange bolts to the frame. Those washer pieces are center main bearing flange shims.
Suggest you also replace the tranny rear isolator mount that may look good but with age the tranny rear will sag and misaligne the DS.
